The IEEE-SA session introduced the organization and its global relevancy, and highlighted its vast Smart Grid activities. The panelists focused on the SA’s standards development in the Smart Grid space, its global collaborative activities, as well as related networking and communications efforts.

The panelists and presentations were:

  • Chuck Adams, Huawei Technologies, Distinguished Standards Strategist; IEEE-SA Past President who presented IEEE-SA Aligning Opportunities with Global Standards;
  • Bill Ash, IEEE-SA Strategic Program Manager who presented IEEE-SA Standards-Related Activities for Smart Grid; and
  • Bruce Kraemer, Marvell Semiconductor, Director of Standards; Chair of IEEE 802.11 Working Group who presented on IEEE-SA Standardization Activities for Smart Grid in Communications & Networking.

In addition to hosting the standards session, the IEEE-SA also had a booth during the event.
